Wolverine Power Cooperative

Wolverine Power Cooperative is an electric power supply company owned by a consortium of four electric distribution cooperatives. Each organization is governed by a Board of Directors and is member-owned. Plotting a future course for a cooperative organization comprised of separate businesses, all with their particular needs and issues, is a daunting challenge. When Tom Stevenson, CEO of Wolverine Power Cooperative, decided to bring the Directors and staff of his organization together to hash out their perspectives on impending issues facing the company, he contacted Traverse Management Resources for assistance. Over a two-day retreat in an off-site setting, this group was able to develop a common understanding of the issues facing the Cooperative and to forge parameters and a common direction for the future. TMR designed a process that brought all members of the group to a common starting point for discussion and resulted in clear direction for Wolverine investments and priorities.
